Bang Bang Con: The Live!

Concerts didn’t just completely stop functioning because of the whole virus situation going on in the world and, instead, since you save the hassle of traveling and can just enjoy the concert everywhere you are, you can attend as many online concerts as you wish. But personally, for me, most of the time concerts ended up become the byproduct of my traveling and the atmosphere you feel at the concert hall the dynamic is something that I really enjoyed and live for. Of course, an online concert can never come close to a live experience but for a concert-goer, this sure is the best thing we can have for a while.

I didn’t sit through the whole 16 hours of Concert from Home: BANG BANG CON marathon happened back in mid-April where they live-streamed all of BTS’s old to new concerts and fan-meeting video on YouTube.

It’s nice that some old songs were being performed again after years of release. I will always hope for things to get better soon.

The time we spend on waiting

I spend my time in Singapore for the weekend before last week. I went to Neon Light Festivals. I spend almost half a day waiting, waiting for the line in Custom to clear, waiting for the bus to send me to my friend, waiting for my turn to enter the venue.

I wanted to watch Honne and Mumford & Sons’ performance but when I finally enter the venue, Honne was already performing their last-second song and it was my favorite “Crying over you” xx

The entire day was bitter for me, the only few moments I truly felt the joy flow out from my heart was when Honne performing my favorite song and the moment Mumford & Sons came out on stage.

The venue was small and the crowd was huge, the cashless purchasing system made already hungry and thirsty people even hungrier and thirstier.

I brought along my camera and was planning to do a short vlog or something but I ended up filming nothing, the contrasting of the picture in your head and the actual scenario are often huge. I respected each and every YouTuber who are able to put out content regularly.

Why don’t I feel happy anymore?

DREAMCATCHER CONCERT: Invitation from Nightmare City

DREAMCATCHER CONCERT: Invitation from Nightmare City in Kuala Lumpur happened on 6th September. We entered a contest held by MTV ASIA and won a pair of VIP ticket included HI-TOUCH session with the stars.

I’ve been listening to Dreamcatcher’s music since their debut, they focus on dark, manga-like and Gothic concept which is quite rare in the K-pop music industry and not to mention the concept is really well-executed too. This concept stood out among the sea of cutesy, cheerful concept (no shade, I love every kind of concept).

The concert atmosphere was great. and as always, Malaysia fans are always energetic and supportive. After the concert end came to the hi-touch session, the entire process only took a few seconds, there will not be time to talk besides saying thank you, as a way of showing the appreciation for their professional performance. This is the first time for me to get to see an idol up close, I have been to many concerts before but I have never gotten the luck for these benefits.

And knowing that you don’t have to squeeze in a train or a bus to go home after the concerts end is always great, thank you for my sister for picking me up and all the driving. This is also the first time I fly solo, hopefully more opportunity will come in the future. BTS world tour: Love Yourself 2019 Singapore

I was so thrilled when I learned that they are going to perform at the biggest venue in Singapore, the news keeps me fresh in every usual sleepy morning for at least three days. The ticketing day was a real pain, waking up at 7am (tickets on sale at 10am), not knowing what you are going to get or nothing. For a popular event like this, it is not about getting what you want, but getting something at least. After 2 hour or so online queuing, when I almost gave up, the page refresh and I am in the seating plan page, I got three tickets, the seats are not great though.

We go to Singapore, stay in a crappy hotel ( I gave them the worst reviews I could on every Tripadvisor- sort of website) It doesn’t even worth a penny! I am still mad until this day.

The actual day was a hot sunny day, the last time I have seen so many people in one place was at the Coldplay concert in Singapore, this might be more I don’t know. Queue under the evening sun for 2 hours while listened to the fainting singing voice from inside the stadium. When we finally passed the gate, it’s almost 7, so almost everyone ran toward their seats.

When I am finally sitting inside, it felt surreal for some reason. But our seat was too far from the stage and the venue is HUGE, so the figures appeared smaller than we see on the TV. The security was way looser than any k-pop concert I went, the venue is so HUGE so even you are carrying your giant telephoto lenses with you, from our place, you couldn’t really capture anything that worth selling (wasn’t at the standing area so there might be some security down there i don’t know). We still enjoyed the concert nevertheless.

One month passed, they are still doing the tour and in fact they are going to start a special edition tour soon! I never thought they will be this big and I never thought myself will be a fans for this long (5 years and still counting), life is just full of surprise and the saying is true “You are always better/stronger than you think you are ” or the other way around 😛
